Wandering Through London’s City Spots

I’ve watched London come alive in films for years. Now I’m here, wandering the streets and ticking off those iconic spots in my own way.

Big Ben

First up, Big Ben! Wow. I’d seen it so many times in photos and films, but standing there made it feel quieter and more majestic than ever. The area around it is busy with streetwalkers and getting a decent photo here is relatively harder.

Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge was one of those spots I didn’t rush. Walking along the Thames or even through the bridge, I get to slowly enjoy the view with my love one. We took a seat and watch the boats go by.

London Eye

The London Eye was less about thrill and more about perspective. Watching the capsules move slowly against the skyline felt calm, almost meditative. We did the touristy thing and took a ride in the London Eye to watch the skyline. Slowly going up and coming down, identifying the landmarks from where we are.

To sum it up, the London Eye can be skipped. There are plenty of spots to enjoy the skyline for free, such as the Sky Garden. It’s free to visit, but make sure to book a reservation before your trip.
