Sometimes the simplest dishes end up being the most memorable! Jeongtong-jip was exactly that kind of surprise serving stir-fried pork in a sizzling pot where we get to slowly indulge the food.
The pork arrived sizzling hot, coated in a rich, savoury sauce with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. Each piece was tender and flavorful, slightly caramelised from the heat, giving it that irresistible smoky aroma the moment it hit the table.
What I loved most was how well everything came together when wrapped with fresh vegetables and sides. The combination of textures made every bite satisfying without feeling too heavy. It is the kind of dish that makes you keep reaching back for another piece without even realising it. Furthermore, after finishing the meat, the staff came over and poured in rice. We mix the rice, savoury sauce from earlier and there we have it. Stir-fried rice!
The atmosphere felt lively and comforting, perfect for sharing a meal and slowing down over good food. Simple, hearty and full of flavour, this was one of those meals that quietly exceeded expectations.
Definitely a spot I would come back to when craving something warm, bold and satisfying.
